Pearls
That’s right - the pearl jewellery trend is here to stay!
Back in spring/summer, people were questioning whether pearls were still in style after several seasons of success. But we think it might be impossible for these lustrous gems to outstay their welcome, as designers continue to find new and mesmerising ways to incorporate them in jewellery.
For autumn/winter 2020, pearls were once again showcased in a mix of classic and contemporary styles; from sleek silver structures finished with organic Keshi pearls to multi-strand necklaces that draped elegantly around the neck.
Pearl earrings were really the stand-out feature of the autumn/winter runways, often displayed in unconventional frameworks or even worn around the ear rather than through the lobe.
Lucky Charms & Protective Talismans
Perhaps the most appropriate and meaningful jewellery trend for autumn/winter 2020/2021, charm jewellery saw some breathtakingly innovative variations on the runways this year.
In particular, many designs gave off a distinctly mystical mood, featuring protective symbols such as the hamsa hand and the evil eye. Although charm jewellery has been trending for a few years now, this time it was reinterpreted in a uniquely creative and captivating manner.
In a time when we’re all searching for a little extra positivity, these spiritual catwalk creations feel particularly entrancing and inspirational. If you're looking to embrace this particular trend, make sure to check out our collection of ChloBo jewellery, where you can find handmade stacking bracelets and layering necklaces featuring a variety of cute and meaningful charms!
Chain Link Jewellery
Another throwback to SS20, chain links are set to be a major jewellery trend for autumn/ winter 2020. From chunky neck-wear to dangling statement earrings, chain links featured heavily across the catwalks, from Paris to New York to Milan.
As well as industrial style designs, we also saw some more delicate variations, and others that were finished with luxurious diamond touches for a more elegant vibe.
It’s no surprise that this trend is here to stay - nothing dresses up a chunky knit jumper like a simple chain link necklace! Get your autumn/winter outfits on point with one of our more luxurious options below...
Exotic Creatures
One of the more playful jewellery trends for autumn/winter 2020 came in the form of bold animal-inspired accessories. A variety of creatures were masterfully interpreted in golden silhouettes and jewel-encrusted brooches, creating a daring balance of glamour and playfulness. And just in time for Halloween, we even saw a number of creepy crawlers illustrated in precious metals and stones!

Celestial Statements
The celestial trend has been somewhat prominent for a while now, but the jewellery for autumn/winter 2020 looks to be especially enchanting and attention-grabbing.
From dazzling drop earrings to statement sparkling rings, many runway accessories featured starry motifs set in gleaming metallic structures. Oscar de la Renta in particular stole the show with his take on this autumn/winter jewellery trend.
As we move into the season of colder weather and darker skies, eye-catching cosmic jewellery could be the perfect way to brighten up your look! And who doesn't love an extra bit of sparkle during the Christmas season?
Cuff Bracelets
Cuff bracelets were a big hit this year, especially at Paris Fashion Week. Often used to draw attention to a statement clutch, they were also seen alone to make a dramatic solo impression. Many of the designs we saw showcased a distinctly abstract feel, brought to life in chunky metallic structures that immediately drew the eye to the wrist.
We love this winter 2020 jewellery trend as it offers the perfect way to accessorise a chunky knit jumper or simple t-shirt during the colder weather! Layer up your bangles and cuff bracelets to add an extra edge to your everyday style.
Sparkle
Another trend to brighten up your autumn/winter outfits, there was plenty of sparkle adorning the runways for the 2020/21 season. Luxurious classics were reinterpreted in confident and contemporary styles, as dramatic diamond necklaces were flaunted solo or paired with swinging chandelier earrings to pile on the glam. In particular, we saw some breathtaking looks from Marc Jacobs at Paris Fashion week.
Sparkle is always a staple for Christmas, but this year it’s time to really splash out and take inspiration from some of these stunning catwalk styles! If diamond jewellery is a bit out of your budget, cubic zirconia offers plenty of sparkle without the hefty price tag.
Single Statement Earrings
Another callback to spring/summer, the asymmetrical earring craze is here to stay for the colder months. But this autumn/winter 2020 jewellery trend takes the look to a whole new level, as we saw even more dramatic and captivating styles across the catwalks.
This season it’s all about the single statement earring, designed to be worn solo as the centrepiece of your outfit. “The bigger, the better” was clearly the rule of thumb for many designers this year, as we saw sleek and oversized metallic shapes adorn one side of the face.
If you want to jump on this 2020/2021 earring trend, you want to choose a single oversized earring to really make a statement (any of the Shaun Leane hook earrings make for an excellent choice). If you’re reluctant to leave your other ear totally bare, accessorise with a tiny stud - anything more and the look becomes just a little too much!
Which jewellery trend are you most excited about for the upcoming autumn/winter season? Will you be sporting an edgy asymmetrical earring style or keeping it simple with a minimalist chain link necklace? Whatever you choose, just remember: this season is all about making a statement!
